Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. When she was just five and moved to Oxfordshire and attended the Dragon School. Emma was six years old when she realized she wanted to become an actress. She was trained for many years in Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a Part-time theatre school located in Oxford where she studied acting as well as singing. By the time she turned 10 years old, Emma took part in many Stagecoach plays and productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000), the movie version to J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was cast for first time in 1999. Emma was discovered by Emma's Oxford Theater instructor. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone, and Ron Weasley told Emma after 8 auditions, that she had been picked for these parts. She was cast alongside Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's first cinematic appearance was with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the year 2001. The film is 2001's top grossing film, breaking records at the opening as well as the first weekend. It was highly acclaimed by reviewers, and so were the performance of three stars. The Daily Telegraph, a widely read British newspaper, was awed by her for her exceptional performance. Emma was later awarded five prizes to honor her role in the film.
