Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian German film and TV actress most well-known for her roles in movies such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. As the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu. Alexandra began her career in showbiz at a young age. Her roles included lead characters in dramas on television as young at the age of 16. Her performance as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue, from Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historical war film) was critically as well as commercially acclaimed. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are two other Oscar nominees featuring models. Over the years Alexandra has worked in several important international and national productions. They comprise British biographical films like Control and The Dust of Time as well as French history mini-series Napoleon. She also remained member of the jury for the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
